The VXM120 was specifically engineered for sonic fidelity, power handling, and efficiency. It incorporates technologies from the high-end car audio sector, such as premium-grade (N42H) dual neodymium magnets. This results in outstanding efficiency of 93 dB/2.83V/1m. Furthermore, unlike ferrite magnets, these require much less space - a distinct advantage given the limited installation depth in the W124 dashboard.

Compared to smaller tweeters, the larger diaphragm surface area allows for a lower crossover point with the midrange driver, minimizing potential frequency gaps in the transition range.
